Question: From your teachings, it seems the path to spirituality is so confusing that it can’t be done without a Guru?
Babaji:
If you are sincere, God will organize such a Guru for you, or He Himself will come to you. It is not so confusing, like when you were in Year 8 at school, oxygen was explained to you in a simple way. In higher years at school, then oxygen was shown in more detail. Gradually in that way, the understanding increases. The path of spirituality is not confusing - all you have to do is go introverted; lose the mind’s imaginations. The Guru is very important. Saint Kabir in his famous song asks the question: ‘Guru and God are standing in front of me. To whom should I bow down to first?’ Initially there is some confusion. In the song he sings, however, immediately the mind becomes clear. ‘I shall bow down to the Guru first, because it is the Guru who has shown me God.’
