Question: What is the difference between focusing on your third eye and the tip of your nose?
Babaji:
There's not much of a difference actually. In the beginning if it becomes difficult for you to concentrate between the eyebrows, you can look down a little bit, looking down is also slightly easier.
Question: While traditionally the bhrikuti or heart chakra, agna chakra or candle flame, tip of the nose, all types of things to focus the mind on, is there a particular value on the bhrikuti? Is there a particular energy, or is it easier to focus, easier not to get involved in other thoughts? Why that particular place?
Babaji:
It's one of the methods practiced by the sages in India since ancient times. Because we cannot simply conclude that is the only method. So when one method is told, and if a student can take it in good faith and proceed by not allowing the mind to get confused, then the person can achieve. Just like some other sages have visualized the heart, by closing the eyes, for certain reasons one of the experiences what I felt in my tapas was that when the mind 100% totally becomes concentrated, then it lifts the kundalini also – body consciousness. They both become one piece of pure consciousness, and at that time they get totally de-linked from the brain's reflections and you lose all locations, whether you are observing here, whether you are here. You won't know it is, because it is simply all pervading. So maybe for that reason, they try to give this (in between eyebrows) as the commanding circle or agna chakra. If you can bring your mind here, you become the commander of your mind.
