Question: I find after I meditate my mind appears clear and quiet. When I open my eyes and come out into the world, then through my eyes I start to get information about the world which the brain analyses as good and bad. By the time one hour has gone by, I'm affected by this negative information again. How can I clear the old negative imprints in the brain and store new imprints as positive rather than negative?
Babaji:
If you find you are doing an exercise and you are not getting the expected results, then it means you need to do more of the exercise. Also you can visualize God everywhere and then you will see 'negative' and 'positive' as being the same. Everywhere wherever there is positive, there is negative also. Just like in the story of the Ramayana, for the story's sake Rama is shown as 'good' and Ravana is shown as 'bad'. But if God is in Rama, He is in Ravana also. Ultimately this is a Divine Play and will go back to the Divine. For instance agony is seen as 'bad', but it is only when we experience agony that the mind wants to go back to God. Agony is Universal Law. From my own experience I would say that it is as though we have fallen into this deep well called 'the world' and agony is the spring that the Divine has fitted to throw you back out of the well of the world.
