Question: What happens if you don’t get realized before you die?

Babaji:

It is like putting it in a fixed deposit. It will always be there. It will be enhanced. Somewhere it will definitely work. Keep going, keep going. When you see a Yogi or Saint also it will be enhanced. My Guru used to say, “Our one mission is to give darshan to devotees apart from teaching meditation, because it is a service to humanity”. That is why if people want to talk about their practice, or their problems, their mental turmoil, we listen to their problems and stories. We try to give them assurance to be more devoted. So the mind will absorb the imprints, when with faith and devotion a person comes in contact. So that will always be there. In the same way meditate every day so that will enhance.

Krishna gave assurance that there is no problem. Arjuna asks, “What if one is unable to complete the realization process and one dies?” Krishna says, “There is no problem. It will always be there. The next life you are born a much better, more pious, more spiritual life and you will be attracted from early childhood towards spirituality in a much better way, in a stronger way, you will put in your own efforts much more.” Just as it happened to us in childhood, gradually our mind got absorbed into spirituality and devotion.
