Babaji's Tapaspurti Photos
The month of Karthika (November) is considered one of the most auspicious months in Hindu Sanatan Dharma for offering prayers to Lord Shiva. Babaji Shri Shivarudra Balayogi Maharaj completed His Tapas in this auspicious month of Karthika on 23 November 1999. From then onwards for the past 18 years, in the benign presence of Shri Swamiji and Shri Babaji, Shri Shivabalayogi Maharaj Ashram Trust has been organising this Shri Laghu Rudra Mahayagna which is dedicated to Lord Shiva.
The pujas are offered to all the five elements of the universe with the prayer for the well-being of the entire universe. The pujas are led by the most reverend pandit (priest) of Uttarakhand Shri Udayshankar Bhatt who is not only a scholar but a very dedicated member of the Ashram.
Today Baba Shri Shivarudra Balayogi Maharaj took the sankalpa to start the puja for the welfare of all beings. The Laghu Rudra Mahayagna will be conducted over the next five days with pujas offered to Shankar Bhagavan, Shri Swamiji, different deities, Mother Nature, and all saints and realised Masters of the world. Second day of the Laghu Rudra Maha Yagna at the Shri Shivabalayogi Ashram in Dehradun.
Today also marked the birthday of Maa Ambaji which was celebrated with great joy in the evening.
In connection with Baba Shivarudrabalayogi’s Tapas Purti, accomplished by the Grace and Blessings of Guru Maharaj Shivabalayogi, this function is also known as Karthik Purnima Utsav. A 5-day Laghu Rudra Homa is held. Babaji has dedicated the fourth day of this homa to the aaradhana of Shri Swamiji’s pujya Mother Parvatamma. Babaji paid rich tributes to the great Mother, conveying her simplicity, dedication, love and care for all.
Also on the occasion, Guru-Disciple which has the biographies of both Shri Swamiji and His direct Disciple Shri Babaji has now been translated and published in Russian language and was released by Ambaji.
Later Babaji sang bhajans to honour Mother Parvatamma. After a mangala aarathi, devotees partook of blessed food in a mass feeding.
