If you adopt the methods, everything becomes a sadhana. Thus one performs karma yoga when one looks after their children, husband, wife, offering it as a service. So whatever comes, you accept. Then the mind becomes quiet. Any exercise which allows the mind to become quiet is sadhana. Thus Patanjali has described 108 types of meditation, some using mantras, even numbers.
