Question: I have read in some texts and scriptures how in the Self-Realization process, the kundalini at the base of the spine travels up through the chakra petals to the top of the head. Can You please talk about this?

First one needs to understand that the kundalini is just another portion of the mind, of our consciousness. It is from this portion of the mind that we get bodily awareness. In tapas, when the mind becomes concentrated it lifts the kundalini to the top of the head. But this is only for a moment - for the merest fraction - and then the mind and kundalini join and go towards the Self.
