Question: Babaji, you said that when we have a thought we look at it and then it will vanish. What I am doing at the moment is that if I have a thought it's almost as if I push it aside and then concentrate again. Is that different?

Babaji:

Yes, you do not try in any other way to keep it aside. If the thought or any vision occurs just let it be there, you just watch as a witness without trying to think because the mind always has a tendency to analyse and make judgements, "This is good, this is bad, why is this happening, why not something else". Like that. So by doing so the mind would be absorbing further imprints with the judgements and you get involved in the whirlpool of thought after thought and never getting ending. One thought gets evaporated and a hundred thoughts would be getting acquired by the mind. So that is why we try to teach exercising a little bit of will power. Try not to think what it is and just watch it. Just like you are forced to watch a movie and just watch it. Don't think about anything that is happening in it, if you can. Neither good nor bad, or why this, nothing else. So the mind recedes when it has no job and becomes concentrated.
