Question: Before you talked about the mind getting excited. Does that mean we become emotional?


Yes, sometimes this can happen. That's why normally in my opinion, in my talks, I always recommend wait until the mind achieves total peace, like the "Om Shanti Shanti Shanti." Since very very ancient times, the Saints also recommended you achieve the peace. Peace means composedly, mind settles down effortlessly, at peace. If there is bliss, this bliss can give rise to an excitement. When this excitement happens, the mind is likely to jump back to this world. Because if you don't have control over your emotions, then an excitement might happen for a while. So if you practice this sadhana of meditation, then you would transcend all emotions and all your emotional energy gets tapped into the single energy of the mind and starts going introverted. Then you will be able to overcome these things.
