If you can be quiet and meditate, in due course of time, the mind becomes concentrated and simultaneously it gets purified and then goes introverted. That's when you can become aware of your Real Self in deeper Samadhi (complete standstillness of mind) practice.
Even for worldly people, if one can practice for twenty minutes, thirty minutes or one hour, it will be very helpful to overcome fear and confusion in this world. Everybody is looking for peace, happiness and tranquility. This world has lots of conflicts because of feelings of insecurity and mistrust among human beings. So if everybody can practice mind control, human values can be upheld. Trust can be built; there will be consideration to each other, love and honor so that everyone can live a harmonious life.
